A Saturday with Habitat for Humanity

Ten intrepid parishioners gathered in southeast Loveland on Saturday, July 31 and joined with Loveland Habitat for Humanity working in two homes that will provide their new owners affordable housing. In the morning, we painted the entire inside of the first home - fortunately, we got more paint on the house’s walls than on ourselves! We had a pizza lunch at the location of the second home before literally going to the rock pile for our afternoon work. Our goal was to landscape between the second home and its neighbors. We laid landscaping paper and hauled (and hauled… and hauled…) rock that was used to cover the bare ground. We all had a wonderful time – working, meeting Loveland Habitat staff, and building stronger bonds with one another. For a look at the day, please click on the photo gallery at the bottom of this post to see pictures of our day.

Loveland Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit housing ministry that displays the care of Jesus Christ to people from all walks of life regardless of faith. They work with people in need of a hand up, while striving to make affordable housing a matter of conscience throughout the Loveland area and around the world. For more information, please visit their website at Loveland Habitat for Humanity | Donate, Volunteer, Homeownership & Events.

Please considered joining with us the next time our parish partners with Loveland Habitat for Humanity!
