outreach and evangelism

Poetic description

The Orthodox Church has a prayer service for just about anything you can imagine. Regular services are offered through the week as well as special services for those in need…..

  • The Welcome and Ushers Ministry aims to provide a warm welcome to all who enter our doors, new and familiar alike, as well as helping to integrate newcomers in our Parish. To connect and get involved with the Usher team, click HERE.

  • Another important Pan-Orthodox ministry is Project Mexico and Saint Innocent Orphanage located in Tijuana, Mexico. Our parish supports this ministry by sending an annual team to participate in home building in Mexico for poor and in-need families. We also support the orphanage located on the grounds of Project Mexico. To learn more about missions at our Parish, click HERE.

  • The OCMC (Orthodox Christian Mission Center) Ministry strives to establish vibrant Eucharistic communities throughout the world by developing and supporting indigenous churches by recruiting, training and supporting Orthodox missionaries who preach, teach and minister to those being served. Our Parish support two long-term missionaries, Nathan and Gabriella Hoppe and Shannon Todd. To get involved, o learn more about OCMC, click HERE.

  • OCPM (Orthodox Christian Prison Ministry) shares the love of Christ and His church with those who are incarcerated and their families, trains St. Spyridon volunteers for this ministry and communicates our activities with the entire parish, so that lives are transformed and God is glorified. • At St. Spyridon, a chapter of the Fellowship of St. Moses the Black has been established, building on a legacy spanning over three decades. The Fellowship operates with a steadfast commitment to non-political engagement, guided by a vision that envisions the manifestation of Christ's love and reconciliation across the globe. Rooted in the traditions of the Ancient Orthodox Christian Church, its mission is to draw individuals from diverse races and backgrounds to experience the transformative power of Jesus Christ's love and healing.

Parishioners are invited to participate in two prayer gatherings each month, aimed at fostering a spirit of compassion and unity in a fractured world. On the first weekday of the month, Father Evan will lead the congregation in the Canon for Racial Reconciliation. Additionally, on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm, a Reader’s Service will take place in the Sanctuary, featuring either the Canon of Reconciliation or the Akathist of St. Moses. The Canon is also accessible for reading on our Church website's media page.

While there are no specific age restrictions for participation, certain activities organized by the Chapter may have age-related limitations.
