Our annual St. Spyridon Parish Picnic came with some added fun this year, with carnival games, Sno-cones and more! As part of our ongoing FUNdraising events for the Mustard Seed Challenge our Renovation Fundraising Committee went above and beyond yesterday!
There was face painting by many of our talented artists in the community, water balloon tossing & piñata drenching, corn hole competitions, bingo, tiny tots activities and bigger kid building activities galore!
The Sno- cone machine was the hit of the day, with the 90 degree temperatures.
The day brought in over $500 gross and our FUNdraising efforts keep paying off!
The latest Mustard Seed Match total is $38,200 as of Sunday! Less than $12,000 to go to release the additional $50,000 matching gift.
We have received several donations towards the wish list and appreciate everyone’s generosity!
Parish Council would like to thank Nancy Constantine and her committee for all their hard work for the carnival, and thanks to Brian Todd and his crew for their grilling mastery and all the help moving the supplies to and from the park. And, of course, a big thank you to the many volunteers who created the fun, and supervised the fun- we could not have done any of it without all your help.
We are looking forward to our next event, September 17th - Day of Protection of Our Natural Environment.
