Walk & Give to End Local Hunger

Ten percent of people in our local northern Colorado area struggle to have enough food to eat.

To help them have food security, Philoptochos will send donations received in September to the food banks and community programs that help put food on the table.

Our project includes a short walk on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 3:00 PM from Saint Spyridon to Benson Sculpture Park (half mile) and back.

We’ll enjoy fellowship and refreshments as well.  You, your family, and friends are invited to join us!  Strollers and dogs on leash are fine.

Sign up HERE to let us know you will join us, or, just show up!

Our St. Spyridon Philoptochos Chapter is part of the National Philoptochos Society, which is made up of more than 400 chapters and 26,000 members across the U.S. Celebrating 85 years, Philoptochos is the largest Christian women's philanthropic organization in the nation. Philoptochos, which means "friends of the poor" in Greek, is a philanthropic arm of the church, providing aid to the poor, the hungry and those in need in our parish, community, country and across the globe. We use our time to connect with those in need, our treasure to help send funds to various causes, and our talents to form relationships, continually seeking new avenues to fulfill Christ's call to help those in need.
