Vacation Church Camp

About the Ministry:

Vacation Church Camp is the Orthodox version of Vacation Bible School. During the mornings of one week during the Summer, we gather at church for prayer and worship, arts and crafts, music, play, and stories about our faith.

Ages 3-12 participate. Middle School children are welcome to join us for Service Projects and special events such as swimming or separate fun events during this time.

Purpose of the Ministry:

VCC serves to provide a week-long experience of fellowship, fun, and learning for our children during their summer vacation from school.

To grow in faith and love for one another through prayer, worship, music, play, crafts, and story.

To provide an opportunity for service by adults who do not necessarily want to teach but want to have fun with kids.

Age Group:

Youth workers, parents, and children ages 3-12.

Getting Involved:

All groups are on a rotation throughout each morning between the different stations.

We are looking for people to stay with specific age groups of children all morning, and also looking for workers to run each station of arts and crafts, music, gym and play, and snacks and story time.

We begin looking for these assistants in May and June and will meet to discuss responsibilities before the week of Church Camp.
