Family Promise

About the Ministry:

Family Promise is a national non-profit that serves homeless families with children. Our local chapter operates in collaboration with the House of Neighborly Service, and offers night shelter through a network of local host churches (in addition to offering a day shelter and case management support).

St Spyridon is one of these host churches. During our hosting week, we provide dinner and shelter from 5 pm until 7 am for 1-4 families at our facility. Trained volunteers may sign up to help with set up/take down, bringing meals, evening shift (spending time with families from 5 pm-9 pm) and night shift (providing assistance as needed overnight from 9 pm until 7 am).

Age Group:

Everyone. Children of all ages may volunteer along with their parents.

Getting Involved:

Attend yearly volunteer training and complete a background check.
