A Saturday with Habitat for Humanity
Ten intrepid parishioners gathered in southeast Loveland on Saturday, July 31 and joined with Loveland Habitat for Humanity working in two homes that will provide their new owners affordable housing. In the morning, we painted the entire inside of the first home - fortunately, we got more paint on the house’s walls than on ourselves! We had a pizza lunch at the location of the second home before literally going to the rock pile for our afternoon work. Our goal was to landscape between the second home and its neighbors. We laid landscaping paper and hauled (and hauled… and hauled…) rock that was used to cover the bare ground. We all had a wonderful time – working, meeting Loveland Habitat staff, and building stronger bonds with one another.
