parish special events
St. Spyridon hosts a variety of special events that are integral to the fabric of our community. In addition to our regular Sunday fellowship following Liturgy, we celebrate numerous special occasions throughout the year, which are highlighted on this page.
-
Following Pascha, the largest feast in the church, our parish gathers for a provided feast, egg hunt, and bountiful time of fellowship together.
-
Several times a year, our Bishop comes to visit. Generally this means there is a Hierarchical Liturgy, and a special fellowship following.
-
During the summer, all parishioners are invited for an annual camping trip on the Metropolis Retreat Center property.
-
On the Sunday nearest St Nicholas’ feast (December 6th), children are invited to put out their shoes to receive a special treat from St Nicholas.
-
Our parish feast day is December 12th, in honor of St. Spyridon’s feast. Join us on this day for a beautiful Liturgy and special fellowship.
