“Our relationship with God has one end in our heart and one end in His hand.”

- Fr. George Calciu

  • In today's modern culture, much of Christianity's essence has been lost, and the Church often misrepresented. Rooted aims to reconnect college students with the ancient foundations of Christianity, offering the stability they need in a rapidly changing world. Through a genuine exploration of scripture and Biblical commentaries from the first century to the present, Rooted helps students see how the historical roots of Christianity can shape their lives today. This new college ministry provides a space for students to delve into the teachings and practices of the early Church. As modern American culture becomes increasingly complex, the truth about Jesus can become obscured. Already established on five college campuses (Colorado State, Wyoming, UNC/AIMS, Colorado, and USAFA) within its first year, Rooted is igniting a passion among students to understand who God is, what the early Church embodied, and how they can live out these principles on their campuses today. • The Young Adult League (YAL) is a ministry for adults ages 21-35, aiming to foster relationships and community among young adults at St. Spyridon. Through monthly activities and gatherings, young adults are encouraged and supported to build stronger relationships with their peers and to become well-rounded members of the parish community. A Prayer for Young Adults

Lord, as we struggle for meaning and purpose in life, guide us with Your helping hand.  Teach us to be aware of God’s abiding love, and stir our concern for our fellow man.  We commit to You our lives in the spirit of dedication and obedience so that we may be spiritually renewed through the teaching of our Faith and the guidance of the Orthodox Church.

For You are the God that loves mankind and to You we ascribe Glory to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever and to the ages of ages. Amen.
